Website Revamps

Having managed the web presence of institutions (Emerson College), corporations (Boston Interiors, Forrester Research), and small businesses (Cape Cod Lavender Farm), I can help with a wide range of needs, including but not limited to:

  • Replatforming: Move and/or update content from one platform to another, e.g. a homegrown site —> Squarespace or WordPress.)

  • Web Content Management: Provide Content Strategy (Information Architecture, SEO). I help you organize and display your information, adhering to whatever your goals are (transactional, informational, aesthetic, etc.) while always keeping the user or customer at top of mind. Looking at competitors is important to include the necessary keywords and geotagging. Keeping your Google Business listing updated is included in this as well.

  • ECommerce: Create or update an online store. Load inventory, optimize with keywords, set pricing, variations, tagging, categories, etc. with an eye for the customer experience. I would say this is my strongest area of expertise.

  • Domain Management: Help mapping your new site to an existing domain, or new domain(s)

  • Copywriting: I am a writer, former editor, and English teacher. I’ve found this helps immensely in upholding your site’s professionalism. I can’t believe the number of typos and instances of poor grammar that are out there!

Note: My goal for the majority of my clients is to set them up on a user-friendly platform (like Squarespace or WordPress). Once the site is built to their liking, the client can then manage minor changes/updates on their own. (I would still be available for help/questions/major updates thereafter.)
